There is so much about this hardcover journal to love! It has the perfect balance of modern design, blank pages for sketching, grid pages for writing, and thoughtfully designed pages sprinkled throughout. It makes a fantastic present for a family member or friend, or for yourself.
This one is for me! I can't wait to dive into the season ahead with this journal in my bag.
the perfect space for females of all ages to create dreams, express hope, and imagine their future. I use this journal for many of my young girls (I am a child and family therapist) to provide them a space where they can let all of their dreams come true with no judgment. One of my kids in particular brings it into session every week to share with me what she has been working on it and shows a great deal of pride in her work. She also commented "I really like the way this looks and feels".
This journal allows space to write as well as draw.
Journals can be challenging for me, because they often just feel like pages of "to-do" lists. This journal never feels that way, but rather like a melding of both emotional inspiration and creative engineering. The pages are a medley of designs, phrases and different textures that help me slow down and "see" what I'm writing from a different lens. This is a great journal for someone looking for a more creative and inspiring way to record your thoughts and make them into a more meaningful creation. Since it was created from a "female" point of view, it's almost like having a mentor who's speaking words of encouragement.
Absolutely love that it's more than just blank pages. I have never been able to keep a journal for longer than a couple months. This allows for more creativity and inspires me to do more than the usual mundane writing that I end up resorting to before giving up journaling all together.
I agree with Showa (one of the reviewers below) this journal helps you sidestep the issue of having to keep it up. You can just come back to this whenever you need a little creativity; it comes with no obligations. My favorite parts of it, though, are the paper and the binding. The paper has a luxurious smoothness for a journal that's only $16.99. I was surprised. And when the book opens it lies flat so you can actually write/draw/scribble in it easily. The other thing I like about it is that you're not left all alone to "CREATE" some masterpiece. The watercolor and cut-paper sketches and the playfully set type every few pages encourage the newbie; they serve as examples of what freedom to create looks like...they take away the pressure... I think this book is really good for young girls and for women of all ages who are just starting on their creative journey.
Love the inside of this journal. The black part can get a little dirty, but I love the set up of the journal.
