As far as short stories go this was a great YA short story. Just enough to get the reader hooked on the characters and want to know more. Noelle has her first real crush and can't seem to form a coherent sentence around him, instead she runs and hides from him. Ah, the joys of being a teen with a crush, I think we all remember those days. The author does a great job of allowing the readers into Noelle's head and her fears over Trey, her crush. A fun holiday read, now I want to read the whole series.I give this short story a 4 out of 5 stars!

This was a really cute story. It was a little short and I felt that there was so much more that could have been added, I had to use my imagination to make it longer. As short stories go, I would recommend it for a quick delightful read.
With a spirited play on the Twelve Days of Christmas, Deanna Dee spins a sweet and sugary tale from her Games of Love world. I've come to expect fun when I read Deanna, and she doesn't disappoint in this expansion pack starring Noelle.
Spending some time in Noelle's head was great fun. Sweet and zany, she's in the crux of a major crush and everyone seems to be conspiring against her to make sure she keeps bumping into HIM. What girl doesn't remember her first crush? Deanna Dee does a splendid job of capturing the excitement and sheer terror of navigating the complex emotions with humor and wit.
